ABOUT OUR BLOG

We blog about the Arts & Animation Industry, write drawing and painting tutorial reviews and excerpts from experts or our own artists. Conduct Book Reviews or announcements of upcoming books. Write reviews on upcoming films, concept art behind it and director interviews and anthing Art & Entertainment related.

We try to make our blog be a resource for Artists, Creative Companies and those that hire artists we work with. We often talk about the creative industr, a little bit of marketing, business, how to monetize and make a living as a creative person, but we’d love to hear your new ideas.

We prefer original content, but if you have created a tutorial or article elsewhere, as long as you rewrite it and make it relevant to our website you may do so.

VOICE

We like to keep it casual on the blog. We always have intelligent content, but it is conversational and friendly. We want your voice and personality to shine in the writing while you teach our readers something new and interesting—isn’t that what blogging is all about?

POST FORMAT

Word count

Blog posts should be between 600 and 2,000 words. Strike a balance between being detailed and concise. A Picture says a 1000 words and a video says 10 000. The more visual our content the more people will share it- but be sure to include some tangible takeaways and points in your post.

Headlines

Always have shareable headlines. “How tos” and numbers work especially well to hook readers immediately. Pretend the headline is a tweet—how would you get your followers’ attention? REMEMBER before you PUBLISH your Blog Post be sure you are 200% happy with the wording of your headline, once it is posted it will be indexed by search engines and social media and changing it may cause issues later on.

Layout

Break up your paragraphs with headings—we won’t publish a wall of text. Feel free to number the headings or bold them, as long as readers can easily skim your posts for key takeaways. Also use bold text to highlight important thoughts.
