Lars Erik Robinson is a Freelance Illustrator, Caricaturist (studio and Live), Portrait artist, Fine-art, Concept art, Animator and Story board artist. Lars was born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1971, and soon there after moved to Gothenburg, Sweden where I grew up. He begun receiving commissions at an early age of 12 years old, where his quick drawing and painting styles were influenced by the early Hip-Hop culture in Northern Europe. The Graffiti art is mostly what ignited a spark in him as a young artist. He eventually went to build on his skills and learn the career by earning a BFA in Illustration from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida, USA in 1994.
Discovering his love for drawing caricatures has lead to assignments in restaurants, retail booths at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach, carnivals, special events, and national and trade shows. Lars also spent time teaching art, giving motivational lectures, and participating in conferences painting caricatures live, both digitally and traditionally. Lars has perfected a technique to work digitally that looks traditional, which allows him to meet today's strict deadlines.
