Hey hey. This is my second attempt at painting in Illustrator. Again, this one started out as a sketch on paper. I was just sketching in my sketchbook and this one stood out to me. I used one layer for the face, one for the hair, one for the red color, etc. I was trying to not worry so much about mistakes and just act like I was actually painting on a real canvas. I like the way it turned out. The subject is wearing some sort of soldier-like regalia, so that's where the title comes from. This
